There’s nothing like having a specialist in your team and one person who can definitely make claim to that, is our new Group Parts Manager, Elliott Ramirez.

Elliott has taken over the role from our long standing Parts Manager, Dave Canny who retired in October last year.

The description of being a specialist definitely fits with Elliott.

He has been with our team for 17 years – always working in the Parts Department.

Prior to joining us he worked in parts in the Phillipines – you guessed it – Isuzu parts – from 1998 to 2007.

And before getting into Parts, he was a mechanic – the best trade possible for a person moving into a parts position.

Elliott joined our team when he came from the Phillipines being sponsored on a 457 visa to come here by Major Motors in 2007.

To say the least, it has been a ‘perfect marriage’.

Elliott has given us great stability – something that is incredibly important and always a challenge to achieve in your team and happily, he says, that he enjoys the job and expects to be with us for quite a while longer.

One further thing to be said: while Elliott enjoys his job, he has not given the tools away entirely.

He still works on his own car which he says is useful for keeping the hand in and never forgetting that Parts and Service are a combined team as neither can exist without the other.
